Plantation & Ecological Restoration
Plantation and restoration with emphasis on indigenous and locally suitable species, ecological suitability and long-term survival.
Vasudhra, the Environment Initiative of Sarvaangeen Krishi Samadhan Foundation (SKSF), works towards restoring ecosystems, conserving natural resources and building greater environmental awareness through practical, community-driven action.
From the first sapling to long-term stewardship, every activity follows one cycle.
Plantation and restoration with emphasis on indigenous and locally suitable species, ecological suitability and long-term survival.
Activities that strengthen soil health, improve moisture retention, protect catchments and conserve local water resources.
Strengthening natural habitats, improving green cover and creating conditions that support native flora, wildlife and biodiversity.
Panchayats, farmers, women’s groups, youth, students, volunteers and local communities as active stewards of nature.
Awareness programmes, educational activities and community outreach that build responsibility towards the environment.
Long-term protection, monitoring, replacement of failed saplings and community involvement to improve survival.
Working with the Forest Department, funding partners, educational institutions, NGOs and community organisations.
We document activities and monitor survival, growth and outcomes so every lesson improves future interventions.
Through Vasudhra, SKSF is turning environmental commitment into action — from planting and nurturing trees to environmental and farmers’ awareness programmes.

Vasudhra documents environmental activities from the field so that every project can tell a complete story.
Environmental restoration requires collaboration across communities, institutions and sectors.
SKSF has undertaken environmental initiatives with the cooperation and support of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, working with field-level forest institutions to identify plantation opportunities and implement activities in suitable locations.
Its activities have also received support and collaboration from State Bank of India (SBI) and Central Bank of India, along with participation from educational institutions and community groups.

Impact is not measured only by what we plant, but by what survives, grows and contributes to a healthier ecosystem.
